Academic Program
At Regent’s your education will be Intimate, Intensive, Interconnected, Industry-focused, and International. You will be taught by working professionals. Lectures from industry experts and work on real-world projects bring your learning to life. Regent’s will prepare you for the working world, with academic learning balanced by practical, hands-on experience. As a student at Regent’s University London, you can choose to take courses from a number of disciplines. It is recommended that you take between 24-30 ECTS credits.

Please note: some of the disciplines require you to take exams in London in January. You cannot take those courses as you will already be back in the United States. Below you will see the course offerings which will show if the course has exams in January. You should also take courses in the same Level, meaning all your courses should be Level 4 or all your courses should be from one level. This is because courses will overlap if they are not in the same level.

General Education Information for UAlbany Students
Credits earned on this program will automatically satisfy the International Perspectives requirement. Three credits of foreign language study will satisfy the Foreign Language requirement. No additional approval is required for you to earn these general elective credits.
Major/Minor Information for UAlbany Students
Courses may also satisfy major and minor requirements, upon approval by the department.
Transcript
All courses taken abroad count towards UAlbany General Elective credits. Credits and grades will appear on your UAlbany transcript. You may file a request to have additional courses approved for equivalency as necessary.
Housing
You can elect to live in Regent’s University managed on-campus housing. If you choose to live on campus, you will live in a double room with a roommate. You can choose a single or triple room if you would like. Basic amenities such as supermarkets and laundry facilities will be conveniently located. You will be within a 2-5 minute walk to your classes.
If you choose to live in the self-contained furnished apartments (called flats) within easy commuting distance of the School, all within central London. Flats vary in size ranging from two to five bedrooms, generally with two students sharing a room. Basic amenities such as supermarkets and laundry facilities will be conveniently located. You will have access to cooking facilities, and bed linens will be provided.
If you want to make your own arrangements, Regent’s University London staff can advise on private housing options.
Meals
If you are living in University-managed housing on campus, you will receive meal credit on your ID card as part of your housing. The card contains a set amount of credit (total figure of £85 per week) and works on the declining debit system which you can use to purchase any item of food or drink from the refectory or cafe. This amount does NOT guarantee you 3 meals a day, 7 days a week. If your credit runs out you can refill your balance or use cash to pay for meals.

Academic Requirements
Freshmen, sophomore, junior and senior students are eligible to participate. Applications are welcome from students in all majors. A minimum grade point average of 2.5 is required.
Experiential Learning
London is your classroom. Make the most out of your resources in London and its surroundings. Depending on the courses you select, you may visit places such as the British Museum, industry events and exhibitions, the Bloomberg offices, the Tate and National galleries, or a variety of theaters.
Student Clubs and Organizations
You should be getting the most out of your experience abroad. On campus, there is always something going on. You will have a host of clubs and societies to choose from, as well as lots of events, from the Grand Autumn Welcome Party to barbecues, club nights, and theater trips. This University all offers a varied sporting and fitness program with exercise classes and multi-use games area.
If you want something more casual, there are coffee shops and restaurants all within a short walk of each other. This is your opportunity to go places and see the country like no other!
Funding Opportunities
Most financial aid and academic awards will apply to semester programs.
External scholarships, listed on our website, are a good way to partially fund your study abroad experience. In addition, the Center for International Education and Global Strategy offers two scholarship programs for UAlbany students studying abroad on UAlbany or 4-year SUNY programs.

Based in the heart of Regent’s Park, Regent’s University London is located in an area filled with rich and diverse history. It also has a long tradition of education and achievement. With 11 acres of private gardens, Regent’s University London is in a quiet, secluded haven in which to live and study. Being in the center of London means that everything the capital has to offer is on your doorstep. The city beyond provides a rich extension to the classroom.
In a city of almost seven million people, it is hard to imagine that anyone would not be intellectually stimulated by the cultural diversity of this metropolis. London boasts a fine tradition of art and literature, a bustling commercial center, and a population from the far reaches of the globe. Today, visitors to London experience a blending of British culture and the cultures of former colonies such as India, Nigeria, and Malaysia, to name just a few. You can feast on authentic Indian cuisine followed by a rousing political discussion at a local pub any evening of the week.
Travel Documents
A valid passport is required to participate in this program. If you are going to the United Kingdom to study for 6 months or less, you will get a Short-term Study visa. If you are going to the United Kingdom to study for more than 6 months, you will have to obtain a Tier 4 (General) visa.

Program Orientations
Upon acceptance to the program, you will be required to attend a mandatory pre-departure orientation. During this time, you will have the opportunity to meet other program participants, discuss in-depth the details of your program, and prepare of the overall education abroad experience. The fall semester pre-departure orientation will be conducted mid-to-late May, and in late November/early December for the spring term abroad.
Upon arrival at Regent’s University London, you will attend a mandatory program orientation. This is an important and informative set of sessions organized by International Office of your host university.
